Regis Philbin, who previously hosted the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” for ABC, is going to host a game show for CBS.

The network said Thursday it had ordered six episodes of “Million Dollar Password,” described as a “modernized version” of the long-running game show “Password,” in which contestants try to guess a hidden word through synonym clues. The grand prize will be $1 million.

CBS said the show would air at midseason. It will tape in New York so that Philbin can continue his hosting duties on the syndicated daytime series “Live With Regis and Kelly.”
