Invasive plants get some attention

I commend you for publishing “When the Beautiful Go Bad “ [April 10], about invasive plants. This is a serious environmental issue that doesn’t receive the coverage it deserves.

While Emily Green treated the subject lightly, I believe she did it so as not to seem as though she was scolding the reader, and either way the fact that the subject is being addressed in a paper as large as The Times is helpful whatever the tone.

I found the photos by Ricardo DeAratanha just exquisite! I saved the page so that I could look at the pictures over and over, especially the one of the fountain grasses -- the lines, the shadows, the composition -- such subtlety and beauty. He is to be congratulated on his great talent.
