Being there for college student

Share

“Sorry, Kid,” was a thought-provoking article [On the Spot, Aug. 10]. I am a lawyer and father of two college-educated twentysomething daughters, and the article was all about the relationship we have with our children.

Aside from being inappropriate, sending a child off alone robs parents of the opportunity to be a part of a very important transition in a child’s life.

The time we have with our offspring is all too brief, and I would take every opportunity to be with my child as she moves out into the world.
