Pickford: An article in Saturday’s California section about the possible sale of actress Mary Pickford’s two Oscar statuettes said that “Pickfair,” the mansion owned by Pickford and husband Douglas Fairbanks Sr., is still a Beverly Hills landmark. The home was all but demolished in 1990 by entertainer Pia Zadora and her husband, Meshulam Riklis, to make way for a new mansion designed as a Venetian palazzo.
