Nationalists seize Corsica parliament

Militant Corsican nationalists occupied the French Mediterranean island’s parliament building while police outside used tear gas to disperse demonstrators in Corsica’s capital.
A fire erupted on the building’s fifth floor. Its cause was not immediately clear.
Nationalists occupied the building after several hundred people demonstrated to protest what they said was growing repression on the island.
