Don’t forget the writer-director

I read Mary McNamara’s review of “Val Lewton: The Man in the Shadows” [“The Frightening Talent of Lewton, Jan. 14]. I have seen the superb documentary, and she did an excellent job of reviewing it -- with one major omission: She should have mentioned the writer and director, Kent Jones.
