The fight for critical thought

Many thanks for bringing “Philosophy Talk” to the attention of your readers. My father encouraged approaching all issues from both sides, comparing and contrasting ideas to better understand them and develop fully informed opinions.

The same day the article appeared, my husband and I happened to hear Tammy Bruce on our car radio. She went into an irrational, name-calling rant -- Exhibit A for radio host Ken Taylor’s comment regarding our public discourse being utterly debased. He and co-host John Perry may be fighting a losing battle for critical thought, but bless them for trying.
