Some Olympic TV shots barred
From Times Wire Reports
China has told broadcast officials it will bar live television shots from Tiananmen Square during the Olympic games, sources said.
The move is believed to have been prompted, at least in part, by recent unrest among Tibetans and government fears of protests in the heart of Beijing during the Olympics.
A ban on live broadcasts would disrupt the plans of NBC and other major international networks, who have paid hundreds of millions of dollars to broadcast the Games.
