Let’s allow home prices to fall

The only thing to “fix” in this housing debacle are the phony prices rung up during this housing Ponzi scheme. How? Let prices fall to their real levels. (“Housing fixes face obstacles,” April 24.)

It makes zero sense to use tax dollars to try to float a false market. It won’t work in the end anyway, because people can’t afford homes at these phony, inflated prices. That’s why the market collapsed.
