Border agent held in smuggling case
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer has been arrested on charges of smuggling drugs and illegal immigrants, the FBI has announced.
Luis Francisco Alarid was arrested Friday night in San Diego without incident. He was taken to the downtown federal jail pending a court hearing set for Monday.
