Lanni to leave MGM board

Casino operator MGM Mirage Inc. said its outgoing chairman and chief executive has decided to withdraw entirely from its board.
The Las Vegas company said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that Terrence Lanni would step down from the board when he leaves his position Sunday. Lanni said previously that he would remain on the board.
The announcement came as gambling regulators in at least one state were investigating whether Lanni lied about having a master’s degree in business from USC.
