Man convicted in 3-year-old’s death

A man who kicked his girlfriend’s daughter in the head and dumped her headless body in the woods was convicted of murder, resolving a case that haunted the Kansas City area during the four years that Erica Green, 3, was known only as “Precious Doe.”
Harrell Johnson, 29, faces life in prison without parole.
The child’s mother, Michelle Johnson, 33, testified against him. She has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
