DVD sales: “Iron Man” is the fastest-selling title ever in the 2-year-old high-definition formats of Blu-ray and HD DVD. The superhero film sold 200,000 units its first day and more than 500,000 its first week. It became the bestselling Blu-ray title within 48 hours of hitting shelves on Sept. 30.

Broadway bound: Oliver Platt has been cast as gambler Nathan Detroit in a Broadway revival of “Guys and Dolls” that will open March 1 at the Nederlander Theatre in New York.

Latin Grammys: Gloria Estefan will be honored as Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year at a concert in Houston on Nov. 12.
