Bridge reopens at site of collapse
From Times Wire Reports
Emergency vehicles with lights flashing led twin processions to open the new Interstate 35W bridge in Minneapolis less than 14 months after the collapse of its predecessor. The old bridge fell Aug. 1, 2007, killing 13 people and injuring 145 others. Its collapse is still under investigation, but a design flaw is believed to have played a role.
