An unhealthy insurance system

Why do we continually try to save a system of providing health insurance that clearly doesn’t deserve to be saved? (“Health Net to reinstate members,” Sept. 12)
How big of Health Net to finally agree to cover people who bought and paid for insurance through it.
Clearly the health insurance industry has shown an aversion to covering people once they get sick.
Why we have stuck with a system that has shown contempt for those in poor health or those who have made an honest mistake on their application is baffling.
