Gregory Poe obituary: The obituary of fashion designer Gregory Poe in the Sept. 13 California section said he was a direct descendant of 19th century writer Edgar Allan Poe. He was a distant cousin. The obituary also said that Gregory Poe’s father was named after Edgar Allan. His father’s name is Edgar Douglas Poe.
