Bank of America Corp. says it will stop requiring binding arbitration to settle disputes with its credit card holders and banking customers.
A spokeswoman said the change was effective for new disputes beginning Thursday.
She said the bank believed that arbitration is fair but that it was clear some customers felt differently.
