Tis the season

Editorial cartoonists are mostly pro-peace and pro-joy, even if our tidings are sometimes delivered in less than glad packaging. Nate Beeler shone the light -- a whole string of it -- on the knotty healthcare debacle. Mike Lester’s government snoops put the “bug” in “humbug.” And I couldn’t let the season of pax pass without a jab at the Afghanistan troop buildup. Scorn, snide contempt, ridicule and cynicism -- now those are gifts that keep on giving!
