Actor Don Johnson is suing the makers of his 1990s television series “Nash Bridges” for what he believes could be tens of millions of dollars in profits generated by the program that he says he never received.

In a suit filed in L.A. Superior Court on Tuesday, Don Johnson Productions Inc. said it is seeking damages from 2929 Entertainment Inc., owned by billionaire Mark Cuban, and two other companies affiliated with “Nash Bridges,” a detective series that aired from 1996 to 2001 on CBS.

Johnson parlayed his success playing a detective in the 1980s series “Miami Vice” into an ownership stake in “Nash Bridges.” But in his suit, he claims his company never received its 50% share of profits.

Representatives from 2929 Entertainment and Qualia Capital were not immediately available to comment.
