BUSINESS BRIEFING / BANKING
TIMES WIRE REPORTS
Two more directors have resigned from Bank of America Corp.’s board, according to a securities filing.
The Charlotte, N.C., company said Joseph Prueher and Tommy Franks left Wednesday. The filing said their decisions did not result from a disagreement with the company or its management.
Bank of America shareholders have been upset in recent months over a big drop in the company’s stock, ongoing losses and government investigations surrounding its purchase of brokerage giant Merrill Lynch & Co. They replaced the company’s chairman in April, and since then four directors have left and four new ones were appointed.
