Ruth Madoff, the wife of Bernard Madoff, owns a New York apartment, $45 million in municipal bonds and $17 million in cash that are “unrelated” to her husband’s alleged Ponzi scheme, her lawyer said.
U.S. District Judge Louis Stanton, who is presiding over a lawsuit against Bernard Madoff by the Securities and Exchange Commission, disclosed the asset details in an order modifying terms of an asset freeze on his property.
