An explosion occurred in a building in southern Lebanon that might have been used as a weapons depot, killing at least one person, officials said.
The blast occurred in the village of Tayr Filsay near the port city of Tyre, about six miles from the border with Israel, the officials said. No further details were immediately available. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity in line with military regulations.
The state-run National News Agency reported that the explosion destroyed the three-story building.
