Your “Sunday Conversation” with Ewan McGregor [“Ghost, Goats and a Kiss,” Oct. 18] read like it was conducted for a high school newspaper. “Tonsil hockey” -- really? And do you think it’s still relevant in 2009 to ask if America is ready for “I Love You, Phillip Morris” after such successful movies as “Milk” and “Brokeback Mountain” and television shows “Will & Grace” and “Modern Family”?

In a time when gay and lesbian issues are in the news daily, asking if America is ready for a gay love story seems cliched and uninformed.
