Where you’ve seen him “I think that most of my work has been an apprenticeship for what I’m going to do in my future,” says Jonathan Rhys Meyers, whose learned trades now include glam-rock superstar (“Velvet Goldmine”), king of England (Showtime’s “The Tudors”) and the King (TV’s “Elvis”). Among his other notable films: Ang Lee’s “Ride With the Devil,” J.J. Abrams’ “Mission: Impossible III,” Julie Taymor’s “Titus” and Woody Allen’s “Match Point.” He has notably not appeared in a teen sex comedy or spoof movie: “I did a terrible audition for one of those years ago; four minutes into the audition, ‘Listen guys, this is a crock. I’m not the actor you want, and I wouldn’t . . . see this movie under any circumstances.’ “-- Michael Ordoña
