SPARKS TONIGHT

AT TULSA

When: 4 PDT.

Where: BOK Center.

On the air: ESPN2.

Records: Sparks 4-13, Shock 3-14.

Update: Tulsa is the only team in the league with a worse record than the Sparks and is last in the Western Conference, one game behind fifth-place L.A. The Shock have lost their last 11 games. But the Sparks can’t get too comfortable, as they have come out slowly in their last two games — against Phoenix and Seattle — and couldn’t recover from early deficits. With Candace Parker out, Tina Thompson and DeLisha Milton-Jones lead the Sparks, each averaging 13.2 points per game. The Shock are led by Scholanda Robinson, who is averaging 12.1 points per game. The team earned some notoriety by adding disgraced track and field star Marion Jones to the roster at the start of the season. Jones is averaging 2.5 points a game. This is the first of three consecutive road games for the Sparks, who will play seven of their next eight games away from Staples Center.
