John Wooden memorial Saturday at Pauley Pavilion

The public memorial service for John Wooden will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pauley Pavilion and will be broadcast live on television by Prime Ticket and streamed at https://www.ucla.edu.

The school announced Thursday that about 6,000 seats in the middle and upper levels of the arena would be open to the public. The doors open at 9 a.m. The service also will be shown on video boards at Drake Stadium on campus.

Cameras are not allowed. Drinks and food, prohibited inside the arena, are permitted in line on the Intramural Field. However, neither portable chairs nor strollers are allowed on the field.

The entrance to the Intramural Field will be from the east at Wilson Plaza, between the John Wooden Center and the North Athletic Field.

Parking is complimentary. Before 7 a.m. it is available at Structure 4 if entering from Sunset and Westwood, or Structure 8 if entering on Westwood from Wilshire. Beginning at 7 a.m., it also will be available in Structure 7 off Sunset-Westwood and Structure 9 off Westwood via Wilshire.
