Art: James Welling at the Hammer Museum

Los Angeles artist James Welling, who has long infused photography with a mix of abstraction, conceptualism and architectural inquiry, will discuss his work as part of the Hammer Lectures series. A professor of photography at UCLA’s department of art, Welling was the subject of a retrospective, “James Welling Photographs, 1974-1999,” in 1999, and a recent solo exhibition at Regen Projects, “Glass House,” is soon to be released as a monograph by Damiani.
