Beachwear is back, which means it’s also slim-down season. A-listers, of course, can enjoy the daily tutelage of a personal trainer, but many also get sculpted at studios across Los Angeles at prices much better suited to your bottom line.

SoulCycle

The New York hit that got Anderson Cooper in the saddle has made it to the West Coast. SoulCycle combines intense cycling with upper-body toning using weights for a 45-minute workout that burns up to 700 calories. The rhythm-based rides are set to club music, candlelight and, as the moniker suggests, motivational coaching. A trio of studios has popped up in SoCal during the past year (Lady Gaga celebrated her 26th birthday with a private class at the West Hollywood location), and a Beverly Hills shop is set to open in September. $25 a class. www.soul-cycle.com/soul-west

Yogalosophy

Jennifer Aniston shows off her well-toned shape in the comedy “We’re the Millers,” in which the 44-year-old plays a stripper who regularly shakes down to her skivvies. Aniston credits longtime trainer Mandy Ingber for each inch of her sculpted legs. The star yogi, who’s known for blending yoga and toning moves, recently released the book “Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Mind-Body Makeover,” which details the move Aniston used to gets those gams: Temple pose with plié squats. $20. www.mandyingber.com

Barry’s Bootcamp

In a city where fitness trends rotate as much as fashions, Barry’s Bootcamp has been delivering high-voltage workouts since 1998 — and counts Jake Gyllenhaal among its recruits. At outposts in West Hollywood and Sherman Oaks, trainers push clients through a rotation of treadmill runs and resistance training that burns up to 1,000 calories per hour. Pop tunes boom from speakers and lights spin from the ceiling, but unlike at other L.A. hot spots, puking at Barry’s is rewarded with a T-shirt. $24 a class. www.barrysbootcamp.com

Physique 57

Physique 57’s unique combination of isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches designed to lean and lengthen muscles has model and former pro wrestler Stacy Kiebler bellying up to the bar. The Beverly Hills studio pairs short bursts of ballet-inspired moves with varied choreography to keep you on your toes. The company recently launched an on-demand series featuring half-hour-or-so workouts targeting different body parts for $5 and its namesake 57-minute workout for $7. $31 a class. www.physique57.com/los-angeles

Sweat Garage

Katy Perry can credit her curves to this West Hollywood body shop. At the Fairfax District studio, certified personal trainers guide you through a 60-minute workout split between treadmill runs and weight-lifting to burn up to 600 calories per class. Committed to trimming waistlines as well as waste, the studio offers filtered water instead of bottled and hand dryers instead of paper towels, plus the floor is made of 100% percent recycled rubber tires. $23 a class. www.sweatgarage.com
