Night Swim

If you’re looking to get away from the desert heat this summer, you won’t regret diving into Night Swim.

A Sunday evening pool party held at XS inside Encore at the Wynn Las Vegas, the weekly shindig draws big names into the deejay booth in August – from Will Sparks, to Lil Jon and Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am. Come September, David Guetta, Morgan Page, Avicii and Porter Robinson are all scheduled to spin.

“It is hands down one of the best pool parties — if not the best pool party —I have been to in my life,” Lil Jon, who has performed at the event before, told the Las Vegas Guide.

“It is the only night you can actually swim in the pool at XS, and both the crowd and staff are very animated, producing a vibe signature to this event,” added XS managing partner Jesse Waits.

Since 2009, the $100 million temple to revelry has cultivated a lavish experience for club goers as reportedly the top-earning nightclub in the country. According to organizers, Night Swim draws an average of 5,000 attendees every weekend.

And with good reason. The interiors are a dreamscape of gold and bronze. Cocktail pitchers begin at $175 each and feature sophisticated ingredients like elderflower liquor. Deejays on stage are known to surf the crowd in inflatable rafts, throw cake at their fans and spray vintage champagne into their mouths. As for the dress code of choice? Swimwear.

With such an over-the-top sales pitch, it’s no wonder that artists such as Lil Jon keep returning to the turntables.

“It’s a wild party when it’s me at Night Swim,” the deejay/rapper laughed. “I stop the music and tell people to jump in the pool with their clothes on.”

As Waits puts it, “It’s just a great night where the party is completely focused under the stars.”
