‘Supernatural’ star Jared Padalecki sells Valley house
Jared Padalecki, who stars on the long-running CW series “Supernatural,” has recorded a very down-to-earth house sale in the San Fernando Valley for $2.4 million.
The 1924 Spanish-style home, featuring vaulted beam ceilings and stained glass, has been fully renovated. A rough-hewn wooden door serves as the house’s portal, so to speak.
The 3,818 square feet of space inside includes a massive arch-topped window, a glass-enclosed library/office, a family/game room, four bedrooms and five bathrooms.
The more than one-third of an acre of grounds has patios, lawn and mature trees.
Padalecki, 31, has starred as demon-hunting brother Sam Winchester on the fantasy-horror series since 2005. The CW recently renewed the show for a 10th season.
Before “Supernatural” he spent five years on “Gilmore Girls.”
The actor bought the property in 2009 for $1.775 million, public records show. He spends much of his time in Vancouver, Canada, where “Supernatural” is filmed.

Ex-NBA star shoots for $4 million
Chris Webber, the retired pro basketball forward turned sports analyst, has listed his Malibu house at $3.995 million.
Set behind gates on nearly three-quarters of an acre, the 2,910-square-foot home has 180-degree coastline views from the inside, the deck and the garden.
Walls of glass, wood floors and stone counters complement the contemporary interiors. Features include an office/den, a library/study, three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
A lap pool, a spa and a sunning area are among outdoor features.
Webber, 40, was a first-round draft pick who played for the Golden State Warriors, the Sacramento Kings and the Detroit Pistons, among other National Basketball Assn. teams, in his 15-year career. He is an NBA analyst for Turner Sports and headed up one of the teams in this year’s NBA Rising Stars Challenge.
The retired forward and five-time NBA All-Star bought the property in 2007 for $3.75 million, public records show.

Old Hollywood still resonates
LM Pagano, decorator to stars such as Johnny Depp and Nicolas Cage, has put her home in Hollywood Hills on the market at $3.1 million.
The Colonial Greek Revival house, built in 1930, was once home to singer and actress Deanna Durbin. Features include a port-cochere, parking for 10 cars, an oversized living room with a fireplace, terraces, a card room, a conservatory, a den, an office, a butler’s pantry and a glass-enclosed porch.
There are five bedrooms and five bathrooms in 4,320 square feet of richly decorated living space.
The gated one-third of an acre lot, large by neighborhood standards, includes a guesthouse.
Durbin, who died last year at 91, appeared in musical films in the 1930s and ‘40s, earning an Academy Juvenile Award at 17.
Among the lyric soprano’s films are “Three Smart Girls Grow Up,” “One Hundred Men and a Girl” and “Can’t Help Singing.”
The property last sold in 1994 for $475,000.

Well-lit in Windsor Square
Christian Audigier has listed a chandelier-laden house in the Windsor Square area of Los Angeles for sale at $3.199 million or for lease at $25,000 a month.
The English Tudor, built in 1925, blends old-world character outside with chic modern interiors. The 5,330 square feet of living space feature at least 18 crystal chandeliers (including one outdoors), formal living and dining rooms, a gym, five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
A two-story house at the rear has its own kitchen.
The grounds are surrounded by hedges and include a swimming pool with a spa, lawn, decks and patios. There’s even an outdoor chandelier in the alfresco dining area.
Audigier, 55, is a fashion designer. He helped boost the Von Dutch brand and sold his Ed Hardy label in 2011 for $62 million.
Public records show that the last sale of the property was recorded in 2007 for $2.695 million. The house has been listed for lease several times during Audigier’s ownership.

Screenwriter Brent Goldberg is ready to part with his Sherman Oaks home, which is priced at $1.449 million.

The 2,800-square-foot house, designed for family living and entertaining, includes a den, an office, four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
Built in 1950, the updated ranch-style house opens to an outdoor living room, a wraparound patio and a lawn with a sports court. There are canyon and hillside views.
The property last sold in 2006 for $1.5 million, public records show.
Goldberg wrote the screenplays for “Girl Next Door” (2004) and “Underclassman” (2005) and was a writer and actor on “Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj” (2006).
