The exhibition “40 Years of Building the Pacific Asia Museum Collection” offers a rare opportunity to view some of the key objects in the museum’s collection of 15,000 works, some of which are not often displayed on account of their light sensitivity — an ideal way to mark the museum’s 40th anniversary. The 50 objects in the exhibition span 1,200 years and represent regions from across Asia and the Pacific. Pacific Asia Museum, 46 N. Los Robles Ave., Pasadena. Opens Fri. $7-$9; members and children 11 and younger, free. (626) 449-2742. https://www.pacificasiamuseum.org.
