Rebekka Skloot The award-winning science writer discusses “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” the story of a poor tobacco farmer whose cells, surreptitiously taken from her in the 1950s, launched a multimillion-dollar medical industry and aided in medical advances from gene mapping to cancer treatment.
