The Season 20 star of ABC series “The Bachelor,” Ben Higgins, will be back for more reality television, and joining him is fiancée Lauren Bushnell.

This summer, Higgins, 28, and Bushnell, 26, the series’ most recently engaged couple, will film their life together at their home in Denver, Colo. The “Bachelor” spin-off, airing on Freeform this fall, is titled “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After.”

The couple’s new docuseries will feature the elated duo not only as they get ready for their wedding, but also as Higgins — currently a software consultant — takes a crack at running for public office for a Republican seat in the Colorado House of Representatives.

According to Freeform, “The new reality series will follow the happy couple as they prepare to walk down the aisle and begin their brand-new life together. … All the while, Ben will explore getting involved in the political realm and Lauren will try and establish her identity post-‘Bachelor.’”

The excited couple tweeted a video announcing the news of their upcoming series, which is scheduled to air in October.

Higgins and Bushnell have said returning to reality TV won’t take much of adjustment given their already public lives.

“After you walk away from ‘The Bachelor,’ it’s not like your life becomes private,” Higgins told Us Weekly. “People still find out what you’re doing, so it’s not changing our life to be public.”

Bushnell agreed with her soon-to-be husband, telling the magazine, “We’re already used to sharing our lives with everyone else, so we thought, Why not? It’s a fun way to share life after ‘The Bachelor.’”

In a statement, Karey Burke, executive vice president of Programming and Development, shared her enthusiasm for the new series.

“’Ben and Lauren are the biggest ‘Bachelor’ couple of the last 10 years,” said Burke. “Their romance captured everyone’s attention, and we are delighted to continue their story on Freeform.”
