‘The Soul Man’ with Cedric the Entertainer renewed for third season

“The Soul Man” has received some good soulful news.

The TV Land comedy starring Cedric the Entertainer as a former soul singer who decides to change his life and become a minister has been renewed for a third season.

The comedy, which also stars Niecy Nash, is one of the few TV series revolving around an African American family.


The pickup marks another winning project for Cedric the Entertainer: The comedian boosted ratings for “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” this season when he took over as host from Meredith Vieira.
