Infographic: Cost of being the Tooth Fairy has gone way up
Kids' pearly whites are worth more than ever. Just ask the Tooth Fairy. The going rate for a lost baby tooth has hit a high of $3.50.
That means that little tooth fetches 44.6% percent more than the previous year.
So, Mom and Dad may have to advise that tiny night-flying creature to dig a little deeper when dropping by the kid's pillow. It's not cheap being the Tooth Fairy.
Delta Dental , a national dental insurance company, has taken annual polls from patients since 1998 as way to track the going rate of the Tooth Fairy. You can even compare the changes against the S&P500.
