Dodgers take on the Nationals in the 2019 NLDS

Share
Los Angeles Times sportswriter Jorge Castillo and columnist Dylan Hernandez breakdown the National League Division Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals. Walker Buehler will start game one, surprising many when it was announced. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has not stated who will start game 2 or 3. The Nationals will start Patrick Corbin, a pitcher who has done well against the Dodgers in his years with the Nationals and the Arizona Diamondbacks. While Castillo and Hernandez both think the series will be close, Castillo is the only one who actually thinks the Dodgers will win it, albeit it in five games. Hernandez believes the Nationals will pull it out due to the strength of their starting pitching and the ability of those pitchers going deep in games. Both acknowledge that the Dodgers’ have had mixed success recently with how far pitchers go in games, and a bullpen that is constantly changing.
