They dress up like other people for a living, but that doesn’t keep actors from donning elaborate costumes for Halloween. Here are some highlights from celebrity Halloween parties, in all their sexy, spooky splendor.

Last year, Paris Hilton poked fun at her stint in the slammer by sporting this “Jail Bait” costume to “A Very Sexy Halloween” at LAX Nightclub in Las Vegas. (WireImage)

Jason Priestley
Jason Priestley attended this year’s Dream Halloween AIDS benefit in Santa Monica with his wife, Naomi Lowde-Priestley, and daughter, Ava.

Jason does not look too excited. We’re guessing The Royal Canadian Mounted Police costume was Naomi’s idea.

For the record: A previous version of this slide referred to Priestley’s outfit as a soldier costume.

Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris went all out last year. He was virtually unrecognizable as a clown at the Art of Elysium Halloween Ball at Social Hollywood. I wonder if he does birthday parties. (WireImage)
Josh Radnor
“How I Met Your Mother” star Josh Radnor kicked it with Neil Patrick Harris at the Art of Elysium Halloween Ball at Social Hollywood last year. So what was he? Jemaine from “Flight of the Conchords” is our best guess. (WireImage)
