One of Hurt’s most famous performances was in the “chestburster” scene in 1979’s “Alien.” Hurt, prone, starred with, from left, Sigourney Weaver, Yaphet Kotto, Tom Skerritt and Ian Holm. He later parodied the scene in Mel Brooks’ 1987 spoof “Spaceballs.”
