Greenspans Department store in South Gate is a fourth-generation, family-owned business that sells a variety of clothes. It has provided costumes for many movies, including “Straight Outta Compton.”

Over the years, Evan Greenspan has seen a lot of people walk through the doors of his family shop – from A-list celebrities to local street hoodlums. When NWA was hitting the charts, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E often browsed the racks at Greenspans, one of the oldest retailers in Southern California.
