Loyola 4, St. Francis 1 (OT)
The Cubs (21-3-3, 8-1-1) scored three goals in the first seven minutes of the 20-minute overtime period to move into first place in the league standings.

Patrick Morrison broke a 1-1 tie a minute into overtime when he scored on a indirect free kick from 28 yards away. Loyola, which is 22-1-1 in its last 24 league games, took a 3-1 lead four minutes later when Alex Stern scored on a left-footed shot. The Cubs went ahead, 4-1, three minutes later when Todd Smith scored on a left-footed shot from 15 yards out.

St. Francis (19-5-1, 7-1-1), the defending Division II co-champion, took a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game when Jeff Buddenbohn headed in a throw-in from Chris Hertz. But the Golden Knights played the final 69 minutes of the contest a man short after starting goalkeeper Tashi Nakanishi was issued a red card after colliding with Gustavo Romero.

Although Loyola failed to convert the indirect free kick after Nakanishi was replaced by Mike Jaso, the Cubs tied the score, 1-1, four minutes into the second half when Chris Dodson scored on a right-footed shot from 30 yards away. Romero scored on a header with less than a minute left in the second half, but was ruled offsides by a linesman.
