The source material derby is off and running! Each month we’ll track from what’s sources the current field of major releases has been taking (or borrowing, or stealing) their blockbuster ideas and comparing how the different source packs pay off at the box office.
So far, Original Screenplays have the biggest field with six films based on actual original scripts released in February, twelve in the year to date.
But for maximum dollar for film, Remakes take the prize, grossing this month an average 53 million per remake-based film.
