Susan Spano’s Postcards From Rome: The neighborhood

Via Cavour at Via dei Fori Imperiali. The latter street was built between the forums of Caesar and Augustus during Rome’s Fascist era. (Susan Spano / Los Angeles Times)

Louis Big Shoes is my favorite store on Via Cavour, with sizes suitable for Shirley Stoler (of Lina Wertmüller’s “Seven Beauties”).
