A Lake Forest man was sentenced Friday to 15 years to life in state prison for sexually assaulting two girls -- 6 and 7 years old -- in a park and a healthcare center, prosecutors said.

German Bravo DeJesus, 34, was found guilty by a jury last month of three felony counts of lewd acts with a minor under 14, according to a statement from the Orange County District Attorney’s office.

DeJesus will also have to register as a lifetime sex offender as part of his sentence.

Prosecutors said DeJesus worked at Palm Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Laguna Woods, and on Jan. 17, 2009, he encountered a 7-year-old girl who was visiting a family member.

While she was in a waiting room, prosecutors said, DeJesus approached the girl and asked for her name. He then molested her and walked away. Shortly after, he returned and touched her again.

On the night of July 8, 2011, prosecutors said DeJesus was at an outdoor movie night at an Aliso Viejo park, where he approached a 6-year-old girl playing just yards from her father. Prosecutors said he asked the girl her name, put his hand down her pants and molested her, then he fled.

The girl immediately told her father, who alerted police. Soon after, DeJesus was arrested riding his bicycle away from the park.
