Brush fire in northeast San Diego County burns 1,700 acres
A brush fire which erupted Saturday afternoon has burned more than 1,700 acres southeast of Julian in northern San Diego County, Cal-Fire said.
The blaze, considered 10% contained, is not threatening structures and there are no reports of injuries.
Dubbed the Chariot fire because of its proximity to Chariot Mountain, the fire is being fought by Cal-Fire and other agencies. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
