One hundred years ago today, about 8,000 Suffragettes marched down Pennsylvania Avenue demanding the right to vote. Marchers were jeered and harassed by onlookers, and over 200 people were treated for injuries by the end of the parade. Women won the vote in 1920 with the ratification of the 19th amendment.
