Low- Hanging Fruit
If you earn your daily bread feasting on the news, you eat what you’re served. That often means a steady diet of gloom and doom, with generous portions of partisanship, ineptitude, greed and corruption, seasoned with world-weary cynicism. Ah, but then there’s dessert, those piece-o-cake headlines that just beg to be cherry-picked. Cartoonists are lucky to taste a couple of these a month, but recently hit the trifecta in a single week:
“Impotence Drugs May Cause Blindness”
“Court Rules Against Medicinal Marijuana”
“Deep Throat Revealed”
“Jackson Not Guilty”
Don Wright, Dana Summers, Mike Keefe and Tom Toles loaded up at the buffet.
Now, if you’ll pardon me, I should get back to my bread-and-water Gitmo diet.
