Meowmaste! Have you heard of cat yoga?

Move over downward dog. Cat pose has arrived.

Kittens and humans participated in Meowmaste, a cat-yoga session June 21 at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center in Miami. The center held the event to raise awareness about pet adoption, especially in the summer when the shelter receives more than the average 500 cats and dogs per month. A yoga instructor from Greenmonkey led the class in poses that focused on bending and stretching while seven adoptable kittens wandered around the room and played with toys. The cats are in foster care through the animal shelter, which moved into its new location last year.
