Huntington man suspected of molesting Redlands boy
A Huntington Beach man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of molesting a Redlands boy over the past two years.
Richard George Moran, 65, was arrested by the Redlands Police Department at his home in Huntington Beach. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga with bail set at $250,000, according to Redlands police.
In June, detectives began investigating Moran after receiving reports of child molestation in Redlands and Huntington Beach. Police said a 13-year-old boy told them that Moran had touched him inappropriately when they were at the boy’s home and in Moran’s vehicle.
Moran recently retired as a maintenance man for the city of Huntington Beach, police said.
Detectives believe there are more victims but that they have not contacted authorities, police said.
