Huntington contest showcases residents’ surf skills

Huntington Beach residents got on their boards and hit the waves over the weekend for the 45th annual Huntington Beach City Surf Contest at the pier.

The competition, which was open only to locals, was presented by the city Community Service Department on Saturday and Sunday. Awards were presented in several age, gender and ability divisions.
