Around Town: Free Thanksgiving meal at Tumbleweeds

Tumbleweeds Bar and Grill at 21094 Beach Blvd. in Huntington Beach will host its annual free Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.

Owner Frank Tahvildari and his staff will be serving turkey, gravy, stuffing and other holiday fixings.

F.V.’s Kech Cafe opens new spot in Torrance

Fountain Valley’s Kech Cafe has expanded to the South Bay, opening a new location Monday in Old Town Torrance at 1231 Cabrillo Ave.

The Fountain Valley restaurant, which specializes in salads, sandwiches and pizza, is in a Circle K market at the Shell gas station at 17966 Brookhurst St.

Huntington spa to offer specials at expansion party

Beach Beauty Bar, a spa in downtown Huntington Beach that specializes in skin care and body treatments, will celebrate its expansion with a public open house and holiday party from 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 3.

The spa, at 1120 Pacific Coast Hwy., has added three treatment rooms and a rooftop deck. Guests at the party will get complimentary 15-minute upper neck and back massages and brow makeovers. Appetizers and drinks will be served.

Fountain Valley Rotary to present craft fair

The Fountain Valley Rotary Club will hold its annual “Crafts & Treasures” event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 5 in the parking lot at Fountain Bowl at the corner of Warner Avenue and Brookhurst Street.

Vendors can reserve spaces for a $25 donation to the Rotary Club. Setup will begin at 7 a.m. Vendors are asked to bring their own tables and chairs.
